Our Process
Beanbag Posing
The process begins on the beanbag, where we focus on taking beautifully posed photos of your new-born baby. We have over 500 colour combinations for you to chose from and a variety of little suits for baby. Our professionally trained photographers in Kent will ensure a secure and comfortable environment for your little one while they are being photographed.
Prop Photos
After the beanbag we move onto the props, where you can chose from our large selection of beds, baskets, boxes, flower rings, and more! As your little one is safely wrapped and posed, our talented photographers will capture precious moments that will be cherished for generations to come. Additionally, we compliment your choice of props with a beautiful background and flooring.
Baby Art
Finally, we conclude your new-born photoshoot with baby art, which uses Mum & Dad's hand and arms. This scene is simple yet effective and its adds a touch of personalisation to the photo shoot.
When should I book in my Newborn photoshoot?
At Footprints Photography Studios we recommend to book your new-born photoshoot with us during your pregnancy, as we do pre-book newborn sessions months in advance. By pre-booking, you will have a priority booking slot during the first 14 days of your baby's birth. We aim to get you booked in with in the first 14 days as baby is still very sleepy and makes it easier for the session.
Why under 14 days?
As soon as your baby is born , they will start to uncurl and become more awake and stimulated by the world around them. Within the first 10 days, they are at their sleepiest, which is the best time to capture your beautiful images. This will ensure that you get the maximum amount of poses and photos that you can cherish forever!

Unlike home studios, our purpose-built studio is designed solely for professional photography sessions. Our studio has been thoughtfully designed with newborn photography in mind. We have created a comfortable and inviting space to capture those precious early moments. Our studio is equipped with a large selection of newborn props, backdrops, and accessories to create a variety of beautiful setups and themes.
Our beautiful newborn studio always has two highly trained photographers in the session, to ensure your newborn's safety (one photographer to shoot and one photographer to spot and keep your little baby comfortable).
We have been photographing newborn babies for over 50 years combined and know all those little tricks to keep your baby calm. We also have a sofa for Mum & Dad to relax, with a baby changing unit to get baby ready.

Watch Me Grow
If you are thinking of booking in a Newborn photo session with us, why not book in with a Watch Me Grow package! With this package you are able to document your little one's first year, for you to be able to cherish forever. This includes four photography sessions over a 15 month period, the sessions included are Pregnancy, Newborn, Sitter and Cake Smash (with a FREE professional handmade cake). We do understand that some ladies do not want pregnancy photos, so we can exchange the Pregnancy photo session for a Family or Themed photo session, at a later date. Read more here.
